New Album
MAUI, HI (March 21, 2023) – Singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Danyel Alana releases her debut album, Soul Love. The launch of Soul Love follows the drop of her original singles, Every Part of Me, Off the Ground, and Wave to Zion. The eclectic range of songs showcases Danyel’s pure talent and diversity as a female powerhouse in the music industry and has made the album worth the wait. Throughout Soul Love, Danyel’s guitar and vocals are joined by her sister Anna Stadlman on bass, Michael Ruff on keyboards, and Josh Greenbaum on drums. Special guest artists include Mark Johnstone on Keys, Uncle Don Lopez on bass and U-Bass, Keali’i Lum on backing vocals, Vince Esquire on ukulele, Roy Katoon on bass, and John Zangrando on horns.
The album was produced by Vince Esquire and Uncle Don Lopez on Luktown Records. When asked about working with Danyel on this album, Uncle Don Lopez said he had “the humbling honor and unique pleasure of playing bass for Uncle Willie K for 28 years and he was superhuman. Able to crush any genre with authenticity and an uncanny ability to mimic almost anyone’s voice and style. I have also had the humbling and unique pleasure to perform with Danyel for nearly 15 years. Danyel’s music, as unique to her as Willie’s was to him, reminds me of that amazing width of musical interest and ability to shred in that genre, either in voice or on electric and acoustic guitars.”
